Zagreb, Croatia
Up before the sun, the host at Levantin Inn in Sveti Stefan, Montenegro prepared to take us to the airport for our early flight to Zagreb, Croatia. To our surprise, he had coffee for me set across cereal for Fierce all ready for us so we could have breakfast before we left. I can't say enough good things about this couple.
Our flight to Zagreb was great. We both slept through the whole thing and didn't even hear the first announcement that they were landing.
Once out in the elements, I hailed a taxi who offered us bottled water. I took one, but Fierce politely declined. Then he offered Coke and Fierce lit up and started chatterboxing about how awesome this treat was and that his Dad loves Coke.
Our room was not quite ready, but our hotel host recommended a chocolate shop close by where we could get a latte and cake. Fierce picked out a chocolate and cherry torte and it was rediculously delicious. Then we each acted like kids in a candy shop and picked out an individual chocolate from behind the glass counter.
It's snowing! Huge snowflakes are floating down and Fierce is determined to catch every one he can on his glove. He thinks it is cheating that they are attracted to my wool coat. We did walk to a few museums only to find out they were closed so we ducked into a few stores on the way back. Fierce didn't love this opportunity of mine, but it was nice to warm up along the way.
Back at the hotel now and planning for a beautiful, snowy day tomorrow :)
