Antibes, France

Sitting on the beach, Fierce and I tried to guess which plane overhead would bring Gigi to our shores. We skipped rocks and made rock castles to patiently pass the time. Soon, she arrived, dropped off her backpack and wanted to go see things!

From tram to train, we traveled to Antibes, France. Once you walk through the business district, you get to an adorable old Town. I tried my new favorite flavor of gelato, melon…yum! Then we trailed through the quaint town and popped in and out of cute little shops.

Cut into the cliffside is the Pablo Picasso museum. The bottom floors are full of modern art from local artists I believe, but the top floor is all for Picasso. The main draw is a large painting of the Odyssey. I also really liked the outdoor patio where there were several statues and pretty plants.

Later that evening we stopped for dinner at the Grand Café. It is all lit up and has numerous French styled tables for outdoor dining. We had pizza and caprese salad. It’s one of those places that is in the guide book for a reason. Good night!
