A Beach Day in Slovenia
We slept in a little today, but were up and ready in time for the breakfast buffet. It is one of the biggest buffets I have seen. While we were enjoying roasted veggies, eggs and crepes, Fierce’s new friend’s mom saw us and invited us to join them for coffee. We had such a nice time and realized we would all be heading to the beach later and said we would see them there.
Fierce and I rode the hotel’s beach bus down to the water front. We walked the stone path along the water to the right until we reached the rocky beach. We walked around a bit to take it all in until we went back to the beach and decided to go for a swim in the water. It wasn’t that cold, I actually got in and enjoyed floating while looking out across the water. Swimming in the Mediterranean is gorgeous.
At some point, we warmed up by sitting on the beach. I noticed a girl was catching the tiny jellyfish in the water and touching them, so I tried it and then Fierce was having fun checking them out as well. We had seen people swimming with a bunch of the jellies a little ways off so we decided to head over there. We only went in about half way, but we caught and released several of the mini jelly fish and had such a good time being surround by them.
Our new friends spotted us and the boys were off to fly down the water slides. There is no lifeguard up top, so everyone has to use their own good judgement…quite refreshing. They had a blast and then we all went swimming off the dock. Later, we went for food and drinks at the beach restaurant. We all had such a good time. They are from Prague and I hope we can see them again in the future.
We drank in the sun, views and this little cove of the Mediterranean most of the day. Then Fierce wanted to go back and play mini golf again. We played much better this time! lol Off to another adventure tomorrow…
